Dear Friend,

First, I want to congratulate Diane Denish and Brian Colon on their victories. November is right around the corner and we Democrats need to gear up for a tough fight.

More importantly, I want to thank you, my supporters, my friends, my family and my wonderful staff for your hard work and dedication. We garnered 20% of the primary vote, which in a five-way race is great, but unfortunately, not enough. I’m also proud to say that several north and eastern New Mexico counties, and especially the counties of District 63, came in strong for me. I truly appreciate your confidence in me.

This was a great experience for me and for my family. We had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people and to enjoy the extraordinary beauty of New Mexico. It also gave me the opportunity to learn more about the communities throughout the state and the many challenges they face.

New Mexico is a state with limitless resources and incredible potential for a wonderful future. However, it will take the right leadership to help us meet that potential. The Democrat Party is the party of vision and hope. We believe in respect and equality for all, in quality public education as human infrastructure, in the development of alternative energy to protect our environment and invigorate the economy, and in a bright future for New Mexico.

We need to work hard and we need to work together to elect Diane Denish as our next governor of the great state of New Mexico. The future of New Mexico depends on it! I ask you to support her and work for her as you did for me. Together we can make a difference. Let’s Energize New Mexico!
